Driver Qualifications

RDI is seeking top drivers who want to succeed and be a part of a growing freight company that is one of the leaders in refrigerated freight. RDI is looking for qualified drivers who are not afraid of the challenge to be successful, love to drive, make a good living and be proud of a job well done. If you are up to the challenge of performing as a Company Driver, Owner/Operator or Lease/Purchase Driver, then RDI has opportunities for you. If you meet the following qualifications Ronnie Dowdy, Inc wants to talk with you. All information will be gathered from the U.S. Investigative Services (formerly DAC) to help qualify potential drivers for RDI.
- Must pass a Two year Physical to be hired.
- Must be at least 23 years old and have at least two (2) years OTR trucking Experience with a similar operation.
- Must have a valid freight class A CDL.
- No, DUI or DWI, none EVER in a Commercial Vehicle.
- No positive drug test results or refusals in work history.
- No more than 2 moving violations in the past three (3) years and no preventable accidents involving a fatality, ever.
- No conviction for reckless driving within the past 36 months. Careless driving conviction requires management approval.
- Management discretion is used when reviewing FELONIES.
- Must be able to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
- Job history for the past three (3) years must be verifiable with dates, phone numbers and addresses with no gaps in employment.
- Must have driven 12 months in the past 24 months, experience must be Semi-Tractor/Trailer minimum of 4 states driven.
- Must be able to meet all legal requirements to drive a commercial freight vehicle in the United States.
- We run 48 states including New York City.
